Nestled in the historic Davis Mountains, this race starts on the legendary San Antonio-El Paso Road in the heart of Fort Davis National Historic Site.

From Fort Davis racers will climb through rocky single track further into the Davis Mountains as they enter Davis Mountains State Park. As vast panoramas open up, racers will take in the thin mountain air at over a mile high.

For those racers that go into the night, you will gaze at the same wide-open sky studied by the nearby McDonald Observatory.

If you are looking for an iconic race with breathtaking views coupled with rich history, then this is the race for you.
