The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the 13th Annual Dam Mile Race on Thursday, May 23rd with the first mile heat starting at 6:30pm. This will be a chip timed race. Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run on the scenic Lake Georgetown Dam. The race will feature timed one mile race. Everyone gets a medal for finishing and tons of fun! Paved, flat to downhill course that is ideal for the walker to the competitive runner and everything in between. Great for strollers too!! It is a very fast point to point mile!
All Georgetown Running Club members will receive a $5 discount!
Free Kids (12 and under) Quarter mile will be held at the completion of the last mile heat. Ribbons to finishers.
Very Important: If it is a south wind then you will need to be at the starting line a mile away so allow plenty of time to get there. First heat is at 6:30pm then ~6:40 and finally ~6:50.
Registration and Packet Pick Up Online registration will remain open all the way through the start of the race. We will have tablets available so you can still register at the race site, but you can avoid the hassle by signing up anytime on any computer or mobile device with a web browser. Packet Pick-Up will be onsite on race day starting at 5:15pm until 6:15pm.
Parking: Park ONLY in marked slots, Corps of Engineer building, or the conference center parking lot. Do not park along the road.
Post Race Pizza provided. Water and AdvoCare electrolyte drink.
